Photo Gallery: 43rd Annual Pine Trees Longboard Classic
The 43rd Annual Pine Trees Longboard Classic, held at Hanalei Bay's Pine Trees Beach from March 8-10, 2024, showcased the timeless allure of longboarding in the heart of Kauai’s surf scene. Surfers of all ages took to the waves, gracefully riding traditional longboards and paying homage to the sport's rich heritage. Divisions based on age and gender provided a platform for competitors to display their talents, while the exhilarating tandem division added an extra layer of excitement, with pairs executing acrobatic maneuvers atop a single board.
As one of the highlights of the North Shore surf season, the classic attracted participants from across the island and beyond. Set against the backdrop of Hanalei's stunning landscape, and embraced in the iconic pine trees that lend their name to the event, the classic is a testament to Kauai's vibrant surf culture.
Affiliated with the Hawaiian Surfing Association (HSA), the event furthered the organization's mission of promoting amateur surfing competitions throughout the Hawaiian Islands, perpetuating the legacy of wave riding for generations to come.
